QuikClot is a hemostatic wound dressing to stop bleeding from heavily bleeding wounds that cannot be stopped with either a pressure bandage or a tourniquet. The layer coated with kaolin activates blood clotting factors and thus accelerates coagulation without generating heat.

Depending on the wound, there are different QuikClot products that differ in size and type of dressing.

The QuikClot EMS Rolled Gauze is a rolled gauze measuring 122 x 7.6 cm. It is used to fill penetrating, traumatic wounds (tamponade) or to wrap wounds (bandages). In contrast to the QuickClot Z-Folded Gauze, it does not have an X-ray strip and is shorter.
