US NREMT EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN BASIC (BLENDED/ONLINE)

Introduction

As the exclusive provider, We are proud to introduce the NREMT – EMT-B Emergency Medical Technician Basic Course for international students; a brand-new, innovative approach to training for Professionals based on a blended, hybrid online/presential program leading to NREMT Professional Registration in the United States as an Emergency Medical Technicin Basic. 

 

Description

The goal of the International EMT-Basic Program (Hybrid) is to prepare competent entry-level emergency medical personnel in the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective learning domains, with the ability to serve their community and pursue careers in healthcare fields. Upon successfully completing the course, the student will be qualified as an EMT-B and be able to sit for the written NREMT Basic EMT exam. Once get their NREMT, they will be able to apply for EMT-B licence in Texas or any other State in the US.

Cognitive Objective: Upon successful completion of this program, the student will demonstrate a working knowledge of clinical information and related topics, relevant to the practice of pre-hospital emergency medical care.

Psychomotor Objective: Upon successfully completing the program, the student will demonstrate an ability to competently and proficiently perform all EMT level skills.

Affective Objective: Upon successfully completing this program, the student will demonstrate attitudes and behaviors consistent with the ethics and professionalism expected of emergency medical personnel.

 

Course Structure and delivery

The EMT-Basic Course is a blended-training program with a mixed componet of online and in-class delivery, as well as practical simulations and clinical placements. International students from all over the world can access to our online education portal, study and test at their own pace and successively come for the presential phase. Soon after the course, they will be able to sit for the US NREMT EMT-Basic exam. Students will conduct clinical placements in a Public Emergency Deparment (12 hrs) and on 911 Ambulances (48 hrs)

 

Course Schedule

5th of May: deadline for registration

1st to the 5th day: Skills (patient assessment, airway, trauma) AHA BLS CPR certification
6th to the 7th day: Clinical rotations in ER and on ambulance
8th to the 9th day: PHTLS
10th day: Skills practice for NREMT psychomotor exam
11th day: NREMT psychomotor exam
12th day: Re-examination for NREMT psychomotor (if necessary), graduation

 

EMT Course Admission Requirements

  • Completed Program Application
  • Completed Program Medical History Form
  • Physical Exam (within 60 days from the start of the in-person session)
  • Course payment
  • Background check
  • Drug Test (within 60 days from the start of the in-person session)
  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • Proof of the following vaccinations:
    • Seasonal flu
    • Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (Tdap)
    • Hepatitis B
    • Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
    • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
    • Tuberculosis
    • COVID-19

 

Further certifications included

  • American Heart Association BLS-AED (Healthcare Providers)
  • NAEMT Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support Provider

  • NREMT Written exam fee ($80,00 to be paied online on the NREMT webpage)

  • Visas (depending on each student’s own Country)

 

Refund Policy

The tuition payment includes a non-refundable $100 deposit.
Refunds will be issued in the case of a student requesting to be dropped from the course using the following schedule:
  • Request for drop from the course before 5th of May, the student will be refunded the full tuition amount minus $100.00
  • Request for drop from the course between 5th and 15th of May the student will be refunded 50% of the tuition.
  • Request for drop from the course between 16th and 22nd of May, the student will be refunded 25% of the tuition.
  • Request for drop from the course after 22nd of May will result in no refund.

 

Accreditation and Future Development (Pathway to US NREMT-Paramedic)

 

  • After have taken the written NREMT exam, students will be able to apply for a Licence to Practice in any State of the United States.

 

  • An hybrid online/presential pathway to the US NREMT Paramedic Registration, dedicated to international students and available soon after the EMT-B Qualification, is being currently under development. It will run approximatively over 1.200 hours of education and training, including 660 hours of didactic and theory along with about 550 hours of clinical rotations in the ER and with the ambulance service. NREMT psychomotor skills exam will be completed at the end of the course. Students will then be suitable to undertake the NREMT written exam and become NREMT-Paramedic with national Registration across the United States.
