INTRODUCTION
“Drones are the future”. This statement can be considered already overcome and substituted with a more appropriate one: “drones are the present”. Today, drones have been developed and their fields of employment have been extended to an unpredicted and unexpected level, far beyond their original scope of practice, with brand new ways to use them being invented or adapted every year. Being this hast and continous development dictated by the needs to perform specific tasks normally done in alternative ways or through alternative means, the education and training in the drone environment have always traditionally been just a consequence to fulfill these needs. Countries are just recently setting up legal frameworks regulating the safe use of drones and still very few formal education programs are coming up to light, normally limiting to basic or very wide, general aspects on the employment of drones. The full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, a major world power hugely outnumbering the invaded Country in terms of combat resources, has shown up to the world a total brand-new concept of modern warfare, born exactly due to this vital need of balancing this huge gap in available assets. A new way of employing drones on the battlefields (and not only) have been created, deployed and refined day by day, operation after operation, thanks to the creativity, intelligence and skill mastery of new tactical drone operators. From this massive accumulation of know-how and operational experience, proper education and training programs to train and qualify a new generation of drone pilots have arisen. Here at the Tactical Coordination Center we are proud to offer to civilians drone users, professionals or enthusiastic, the same level of knowledge and practical experience within a state-of-the-art, immersive and hyper-realistic training center.
